As a Director of Engineering, you will...

  • Lead engineering team to improve and consistently deliver software on time and budget
  • Influence change and deliver sustainable technical and architectural decisions to improve efficiencies across the board
  • Act as a bridge between other teams within Wellable
  • Develop security and quality programs, including obtaining relevant certifications
  • Advocate for technical engineering excellence and guide career growth development for team members
  • Monitor and measure the impact of product releases and enhancements
  • Lead recruitment and training of technology team members



Preferred Qualifications...

  • 8+ years of leading and managing an engineering team focused around infrastructure, software development, and/or platform operations
  • Experience with the following tech stack:

- Database: MS SQL
- Programming Languages: C# (web app, backend), Swift (iOS), and Kotlin (Android)
- Frameworks: ASP.NET (web)
- Server Provider: IIS (Microsoft Internet Information Service)

  • Experience building large, scalable, and secure enterprise software
  • Experience with interfacing with third-party APIs and SDKs (e.g., Fitbit, Apple Health, etc.) as well as IDPs (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, etc.)
  • Effectively recruited, mentored, and retained great talent
  • Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Excellent communicator and can provide non-technical explanations for highly technical projects
