What It's Worth
What Is Value on Investment (VOI)?
Value on investment (VOI) looks past healthcare costs to the broader value a well-being program creates, such as retention, engagement, and productivity, compared with what the program costs. In this analysis, a VOI of 6.0x means the estimated value of the retention gap was six times the program's cost (including platform subscription and rewards).

Methodology
How Wellable Ran the Analysis
- Sample
- 14 Wellable employer clients that met our data criteria: at least 12 months of standard reporting and all employees on the platform via eligibility file or SSO. 22,189 users across 11 industries.
- Time period
- Trailing twelve months ending December 31, 2025.
- Salary
- The client's own figure where provided, otherwise $40,000. Replacement cost: 75% of salary.
- Averages
- Each employer counts equally, regardless of size.
- Limits
- Results are correlational, not causal. The sample is small, and Wellable will refresh it as more analyses are completed.
