While there are various types of meditation classes, participants will practice mindfulness meditation in this class. Mindfulness meditation is a mental state that involves being fully focused on “the now” to acknowledge and accept thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment.
This class does not require any prior experience to enjoy the health benefits of meditation, including stress reduction and enhanced self-awareness as well as improved happiness and general well-being. In fact, it is recommended that those starting out begin with guided meditation where sessions are led by an experienced instructor.
The total class time is 30 minutes. This includes an instructor introduction, practice of meditation, and answering of any participant questions.
